The Aermacchi MB-326 (RAAF ) was gifted to the Hunter Fighter Collection (HFC) by RAAF Heritage. Previously displayed at the RAAF Base Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre in Queensland, the aircraft was in excellent condition when acquired. In 2021, HFC volunteers traveled to Amberley, QLD to dismantle and transport the Macchi to Scone, NSW. Originally stationed at RAAF Base Williamtown, the aircraft will be repainted in RAAF colors to reflect its history at Williamtown, reinforcing its connections to the Hunter Valley. A7-047 is now on display at the Hunter Warbirds Aviation Attraction in Scone, NSW.
