"Betty's Dream" was a North American B-25 Mitchell bomber assigned to the 345th Bombardment Group "Air Apaches", 499th Bombardment Squadron, known as the “Bat Outta Hell" squadron,. . This unit operated in the Pacific theatre during World War II, conducting low-level bombing and strafing missions against Japanese targets.  Nicknamed "Betty's Dream" it was painted with the squadron's Bat Outta Hell motif around the nose of the aicraft.
